False accusations and false confessions of witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts, took her mother, Tituba, away from her. Now Violet seeks revenge on those who tore her family apart. Readers will be instantly transported back in time in this dark and gripping novel! It's been a year since the Salem Witch Trials ended, and while the townspeople try their best to act like nothing happened, thirteen-year-old Violet simply can't, as everything she held dear was ripped away from her. Her mother, Tituba, was accused of witchcraft by Betty and Abigail Parris, two girls Violet had grown up with and regarded as sisters. And instead of denying those allegations, Tituba had confessed to the crimes. But why? Her mother would never have done the wicked acts she was charged with. Would she? Once the remaining accused of witchcraft are pardoned, Violet inquires about her missing parents, only to learn that Reverend Parris has sold them to a man who took them north. Now filled with rage and wanting retribution, she comes across Tammy Younger and Elizabeth Prince, two girls who're also seeking vengeance amid all this turmoil. Together, the three form a coven, signing their names to the Devil's book, and they find solace in the newness and excitement of the magic they're practicing. But once the magic grows darker and forges a destructive path through their community, will Violet achieve the closure she longs for, or will the darkness consume them all? This historical, powerful story of family, revenge, and reconciling is a can't-miss novel from Amanda Marrone.

On nights when you feel alone, I am with you. When people doubt you or dismiss you, I am with you. I fought every day for you. So never stop fighting, I believe you.' Chanel Miller's story changed our world forever. In 2016 Brock Turner was sentenced to just six months in jail after he was caught sexually assaulting her on Stanford's campus. His light sentencing, and Chanel's victim impact statement, which was read by eleven million people in four days, sparked international outrage and action. Know My Name is an intimate, profoundly moving memoir that exposes a patriarchal culture biased to protect perpetrators, a criminal justice system designed to fail the most vulnerable, and ultimately shines with the courage required to move through suffering and live a full and beautiful life. Entwining pain, resilience, and humour, this breath-taking memoir will stand as a modern classic. From her early childhood episodes to her most recent encounters, she depicts how the Whispers have provided inspiration, insight, strength, and courage as she attempts to shape her existence. The text provides not only a step-by-step process but memoirs that allow the process and application to unfold as historic events. The authors purpose is to leave a legacy of wonder about how these historic events establish, maintain, and sustain an on-going dialectic which ultimately determines ones destiny. This text is the completion of a trilogy. The author revisits the substance of the dialectic in the prior texts so there is no need to have read those texts to follow the process, events, and outcomes depicted in the text. The Whispers were introduced in the first text, Called by Many Names. The nature of the conversation involves mental discourse, listening, reflection and contemplation. For many, her relationship with the Whispers may appear to be unique, but what makes this text unique is the way and means used by the author to present her experiences. She glides effortlessly through the literary elements and genre styles, as she captures ones interest.

The place of gay men and women in the community of faith has become one of the most divisive debates in the church today. Writer and activist Richard Cleaver takes a fresh approach to this issue by examining the struggles of gay men and lesbians in the church through the lens of liberation theology. He offers a "gay" reading of scripture, but one that is also spiritually challenging to all readers. Cleaver interweaves biblical reflections with historical, social, political, and personal commentary. He discusses personal identity issues and "coming out," the development of class consciousness as members of an oppressed group, and solidarity with other oppressed groups. This provocative book brings a new voice to the debate about the place of gays and lesbians in our churches.

Did Jesus Je hovah salvation know God s name

Thus, the tetragram, the only name of God (elohim) according to Zechariah 14:9, was written in Hebrew Iod He Vau He, and pronounced adonai.

Michael Servetus participated in the Protestant Reformation and translated the Hebrew Bible into Latin. In July 1531, he published his De Trinitatis Erroribus (On the Errors of the Trinity) in which he explained clearly that the Trinity was a 3-headed monster. Accordingly, Catholics and Protestants alike condemned him. He was then arrested in Geneva and burnt at the stake as a heretic by order of the city's Protestant governing council. This book was translated into English only in 1932, but still worse, the main arguments from part V were completely distorted. For example he explained that God's name was Iehouah because in Hebrew this name was close to the name of Iesuah (Jesus), or Iehosuah, which means "Iehouah is salvation." He also knew that according to Paulus de Heredia, a Christian Cabbalist, the meaning of God's name was "He causes to be" (yehauueh), but he never confused the pronunciation of God's name with its Kabbalistic meaning (yehaweh). For Servetus, Iehouah was the only true God.

What may a German entrepreneur do if from Chinese customers permanently horror news are arriving, although his company otherwise enjoys satisfied customers all over the world? Bernhard Wessling drew the conclusions. Jettisoning all his prejudices and fears, he moved into the boom town of ShenZhen, near HongKong. Six years he lived and worked in China, read many books about China and rejected all advice. He traced and found his own way, and he succeeded. The author – called "LaoWei" by his Chinese friends – introduces the readers to China in an uncommon manner: humorously, excitingly and laxly telling. He presents fireworks of incidents that develop faster and faster. Beginning with his own fears and the first contacts, he lets the readers witness the setup of his company, the creative solutions to countless problems and the discovery of intriguing oases of nature. The scenes, sometimes touching, sometimes slapstick-like, sometimes profoundly serious, interlock and generate in the heads of the readers a sequence of bright and moving pictures. The observations of the author deeply delve below the surface. He avoids the jargon of standard China books and manuals about how to have success in China and what to strictly avoid. Rather, the reader finds a lively description of how a successful business network was established. The author illustrates the story-telling non-fiction book with more than 140 of his own photos taken of the life on the streets, in the parks and of astonishing nature discoveries, right in the mega town of ShenZhen.
