Nearly a year after the death of his best friend Hank, Eric is still finding it hard to cope with the void his friend left behind. His only consolation being that he was absolutely sure that the honest, religious and righteous Hank was in heaven. Suddenly one night, he started to receive letters from Hank by the way of dreams. In his first letter Hank reported that he was indeed in hell. To his shock Eric learnt that most of his religious believes were faulty and lacked in substance. In the book Hank explained in detail why he landed in hell and why almost all people on earth will eventually end up there. He explained why and how they are suffering and what their ultimate destination will be. He took Eric on a quick tour through the history of earth and the development of man since he took his first step in an upright position up to his present state of development. Much emphasis is given to the gluttonous consumerism of modern man and the effects that global warming and the destruction and fragmentation of natural habitats will eventually have on the future existence of the human species. The book deals with a possible solution to the problems that is facing mankind in the form of thirteen 'commandments' which will drastically change the everyday way of life. A few generations later a space ship reports its observations of the planet that ignored the commandments. The manuscript is a work of fiction but not in the sense of sci-fi. The facts dealing with global warming, the fragmentation of habitats and the unscrupulous exploitation of natural resources are, sadly, true.

Who doesn't love to open the mailbox during the holidays and find a newsletter? Whether it's a juicy missive from a college roommate inadvertently revealing her husband's wandering eye, a self-congratulatory account of a cousin's rise to power at the local fast-food joint, or a mind-numbingly detailed account of a year's medical ailments (including photos) from a coworker, they're always entertaining. Christmas Letters from Hell skewers holiday letters of all shapes and sizes, from the ones that come crammed with cheesy graphics or written from the perspective of the recently neutered family dog to those filled with stories of "perfect" family vacations that were clearly anything but. Here Santa uses his holiday letter to let the elves know that he'll be outsourcing to China effective immediately; a bipolar mom tells two very different versions of the year's events; and Osama bin Laden touches base with his high school host family in Minneapolis. Christmas Letters from Hell serves up a steaming, savory blend of the holiday cheer, humor, and twisted truth in our well-intended attempts to stay in touch gone horribly, horribly wrong.

A Message from a Lost Soul Or Letters from Hell

The man who shuts his eyes to the fact of hell because it is so appalling and
plunges headlong thither , when he might open his eyes to the fact and turn out of
the path that leads to that fearful place , is a consummate fool . I wish that I could
