Awadhi is an Eastern Hindi dialect comprising masterpieces, as the Ramayana of Tulsi Das, the Padmawat of Muhammad Jaisi. A dialect wherein such renowned works are written is well worth studying in all its details. The present work on the evolution of Awadhi (Eastern Hindi dialect) is divided into two parts bound in a single volume. Part I, relates to the precise description of phonetic notation of Awadhi and is followed by graphic illustrations; and Part II, deals with the accurate and complete description of the ancient and modern stages of Awadhi. It discribes the eight parts of speech, the syntactical order of the sentence in Awadhi and is followed by two appendices comprising the specimens of Early and Modern Awadhi Texts.

Written by a mother who lost her 21 year old son to suicide, this book deals with the themes of suicide loss through the lens of the author's personal grief. Addressing the process of post-traumatic growth, this memoir provides the bereaved with therapy exercises and creative activities to help them come to terms with their loss. Although it deals directly with losing a child, much of the book pertains to grief generally, especially complicated grief after a sudden death, and thus provides comfort to any reader who has lost a close one to suicide or anyone interested in young people struggling with mental health. Organised thematically, it addresses the many issues and stages involved in the grieving process and ends each chapter with a variety of beneficial yoga, breathing and therapy activities. This allows readers to dip in and out of the book, and go at their own pace - replicating the fact that grief is not a linear journey but an iterative one that goes back and forth. This book is a lifeline for anyone struggling to process loss.

Every day, there are treasures to be discovered by anyone who will honestly come to hear the voice of the Savior in his Word. The Lord Jesus indicates that there is an added blessing for those who will write down the insights he gives by his instruction: Every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old (Matthew 13:52). The poems in this book are the result of going to the Bible each day with an expectation that God has something very valuable to say. That expectation has NEVER been disappointed. Our risen Lord said, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will sup with him, and he with Me (Revelation 3:20). This intimate, two-way communion with God is offered to all those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12) and thereby have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God (1 Corinthians 2:12). My prayer is that God may use this book for his glory, for the encouragement of his own children, and for the persuasion of those who may yet be awakened to their need of our Savior. Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the post of My doors (Proverbs 8:34). Heaven is waiting. Dont miss it for the world.

Among the great works of world literature, perhaps one of the least familiar to English readers is the Shahnameh: ThePersian Book of Kings, the national epic of Persia. This prodigious narrative, composed by the poet Ferdowsi between the years 980 and 1010, tells the story of pre- Islamic Iran, beginning in the mythic time of Creation and continuing forward to the Arab invasion in the seventh century. As a window on the world, Shahnameh belongs in the company of such literary masterpieces as Dante’s Divine Comedy, the plays of Shakespeare, the epics of Homer— classics whose reach and range bring whole cultures into view. In its pages are unforgettable moments of national triumph and failure, human courage and cruelty, blissful love and bitter grief. In tracing the roots of Iran, Shahnameh initially draws on the depths of legend and then carries its story into historical times, when ancient Persia was swept into an expanding Islamic empire. Now Dick Davis, the greatest modern translator of Persian poetry, has revisited that poem, turning the finest stories of Ferdowsi’s original into an elegant combination of prose and verse. For the first time in English, in the most complete form possible, readers can experience Shahnameh in the same way that Iranian storytellers have lovingly conveyed it in Persian for the past thousand years.

This is not a traditional autobiography. Its contents are letters I wrote to my wife which she laboriously keyboarded using an antiquated computer. It is my remembrances of my childhood and my adolescence years spent mostly in small towns in Oklahoma-Vanoss, McComb, Tribbey, Depew and Twin Oak. Then on the Texas to Amherst and Fielldton. I also include my early adult years and the experiences I had as I searched for, and sometimes found, both labor and love. The labor included cotton, broomcorn, cement plant in Ada, Okla., the Air Force , painting the tall bridges and buildings In New York and Massachuettsand driving big rigs. The love includes three wives. My sister wanted the title of my book to be, Letters from a Far Away Place. I didn't want to change the title. I'll leave it to my readers to decide where the far away place was. It is not part of my story, at least, not for this book. I now live in East Texas. I own and still drive a big rig but I make short trips in order for my wife to go with me.

Author Harvey Marshall gleaned great thoughts, ideas, and inspiration while reading the Bible, and he wanted to share what he found with others. At first, he texted the encouraging words he learned by cell phone. Then, he sent them via e-mail, and finally he created a website with which to share the good news. In "Promises to Confess to," Marshall shares these lessons, gleaned from Scripture readings, and discusses the meanings behind the encouraging words and the promises from God that are a part of the Bible's message. He follows each short inspiration with a confession or prayer that relates to the discussion. "Promises to Confess to" provides a lens through which to look at God and to appreciate the many colors that his glory has allowed to fall upon the earth.
